It's Never Too Late to Begin Again

Hello Reader

Welcome to Level Up Weekly, where I help emerging leaders think strategically, organize effectively, and execute with clarity—so they can be seen, heard, and valued.

Today at a glance:

Why not knowing your path is more normal than we admit
How I went from frozen to consistent on LinkedIn in under 6 months
5 insights nearly 60 years (and many pivots) taught me about growth

I’m almost 60 — and just figured out what I want to be when I grow up

I didn’t know in college.

Or in my first job.

Or in the second… or the fifth.

I spent years wondering —

Comparing myself to others who seemed to have it all figured out.

If only I knew back then that not knowing your path is perfectly OK.

That it’s all part of the journey.

But I was caught up in the pressure of tangible results.

Always thinking “I’ll be happy when I get to the next milestone.”

Never truly enjoying where I was.

From “Not Ready” to “Showing Up Anyway”

Just a few months ago, in March?

I was sweating over my first LinkedIn post — it took me days.

In April, I could barely comment on someone else’s post.

Posting consistently? Forget it.

Now? I show up most days —

Not because it’s easy,

But because I stopped waiting to be “ready.”

The Truth About Timelines

We’re told to pick a path early and stick to it.

But that’s not how life works.

Our purpose evolves.

Our wisdom deepens.

We outgrow spaces that once contained us.

We all reach a fork in the road,

where the path we once walked doesn't feel right anymore.

That’s not being lost.

That’s being human.

5 Lessons from Nearly Six Decades

1. Your timeline is yours alone

↳ Everyone’s “right time” is different. And that’s a good thing.

2. Comparison steals the joy from your own journey

↳ The more I looked sideways, the less I appreciated what was right in front of me.

3. Every age is the right age to pivot

↳ The only real deadline is the one we make up in our heads.

4. Learning never stops being thrilling

↳ Curiosity isn’t a phase. It’s a way of living.

5. The work you love often finds you when you stop forcing it

↳ Let go of the chase, and let the connection spark.

Today, I wake up energized.

About the strategic work I'm diving into.

About the leaders I'm coaching through their own discoveries.

About the new skills I'm building every single week.

At almost 60.

And it feels like I'm just getting started.

So if you’ve been wondering if it’s too late to pivot, discover, or step into something new…

It’s never too late.

Your transformation doesn’t run on a deadline.

Your decades of experience aren't baggage.

They're your competitive advantage.

Today’s reflection:

What new path are you curious to explore — now, not later?

Bonus Practice:

Next time a meeting request or project tempts you to cancel plans with a loved one, pause and ask: “Will this moment still matter 5 years from now?”
